Empower Vitality Week: How 57 companies found inspiration during our Vitality Week
1. A flying start
Last September, we at Empowr organized an inspiring vitality week, which focused on mental health, well-being and vitality. The program, consisting of 10 diverse sessions, attracted 1977 registrations and knew not only our own partners but also 57 other companies to inspire. These companies participated free of charge, providing hundreds of professionals with practical insights and tools to take vitality to the next level.
The week started off strong with an energetic kick-off by Killian Wawoe, who shared his expertise on working from home and work stress. His session combined humor, science and useful tips that participants were able to apply immediately. With a review of 8.9 and rave reactions, this was a perfect start to the week.
2. From breathing to sleep and from finance to focus
The strength of our vitality week lay in the varied program. From Monday to Friday, we offered sessions that highlighted various aspects of well-being. Here's an overview of the week:
- Monday: Breathing and Relaxation
After Killian's powerful kickoff, inspired Yves van Veen participants with his breath workshop. He emphasized how breathing techniques can contribute to stress relief and mental rest.
- Tuesday: Movement and Focus
Sophie Kuizenga brought an interesting session about the danger of sitting for long periods with her lecture “Is sitting the new smoking?”. Then it dawned Aalco van Brink present participants with an interactive focus quiz, aimed at improving attention and productivity.
- Wednesday: Morning rituals and meaning
Lienke de Jong motivated participants to start the day energized with her Morning Energizer, which focused on routine and movement. Later in the day, Sandra Klijn invited participants to reflect on their personal values and goals during a session about meaning.
- Thursday: Finance and Food
Financial fitness was at the heart of the session of Show Peek, in which he provided tools to reduce money stress. Dylan Snelders ended with a session about nutrition, in which he gave practical tips to strengthen vitality from eating habits.
- Friday: The importance of sleep and stress management
The week ended with two vigorous sessions. Sigrid Ruigok gave an insightful session about sleep and recovery, where participants learned how good sleep contributes to well-being and productivity. Subsequently inspired Johan Versluis participants with a session on stress management and recovery. He provided concrete tools for recognizing and dealing with stress signals, and emphasized how creating balance is essential for long-term mental well-being.
3. Building a vital future together
With 1977 registrations and participants from various sectors, this vitality week has shown how important investing in vitality is. The success highlights that wellbeing is not only necessary, but also has an impact on productivity and sustainable employability.
