Chair Yoga with Noraly Meeuwisse

The Chair Yoga classes by Startup Yoga are aimed at reducing stress and promoting relaxation.
The practical poses focus primarily on the upper body (arms, neck, shoulders, and back), making them perfect for "office workers" to prevent and alleviate work-related issues such as a mouse arm (RSI / CANS) or back pain.


Practical and accessible
During this practical form of yoga, the chair, desk, and/or wall are used. So, the lack of space for practicing yoga shouldn't hold you back anymore.
Also, you can simply keep your office outfit on during this yoga class. The poses learned during the class can then be done at any time of the day, providing an accessible way to incorporate a real mini-break during the workday.

Lesson structure
Each lesson begins with a brief breathing or mindfulness exercise. Following that are Yin and Restorative Yoga poses, combined with gentle standing poses and movements. During the poses, attention is paid to breathing, observing thoughts, the (stress) signals & sensations the body gives off, and how to deal with them, release tension, and relax more deeply.

The class ends with a moment of relaxation, to feel the effects of the class and what you would like to take with you for the rest of your day.
