How Empowr supports &samhoud employees
Personal development in the workplace often feels like a luxury. However, it should actually be the norm, says an &samhoud employee.
“I think it's great that we get a budget to invest in our growth, and that we have the freedom to choose what we need. That can range from conversations with a coach to a yoga subscription.”
According to her, this is not only good for employees, but also for the organization as a whole. “When employees feel better about themselves and are better able to deal with stress, they also perform better. Millennials in particular benefit greatly from this.”
When she first came into contact with Empowr, she was immediately enthusiastic about the wide range. “I immediately saw that there is something suitable for everyone. Not only for people who want to talk to a coach or be physically active, but also for people who want to work on their well-being in a different way.”
A structured start with an intake
The process started with an intake interview, a step that gave a lot of direction.
“Back then, the website looked even different, but I was able to easily schedule an appointment. That conversation gave me insight into where I was and helped me determine the next steps.”
The well-being check that she did via Empowr provided a global picture of her situation and confirmed her need for coaching.
“I made contact with various coaches via the platform and finally opted for a process of six sessions. I completed this with new insights and energy.”
She found the intake itself to be very pleasant and approachable.
“I knew I wanted coaching beforehand, so I was able to immediately indicate where my needs lay. The well-being expert suggested three coaches who were a good fit for my question. That made choosing a lot easier.”
However, she understands that not everyone takes the step to an intake interview easily. “For some people, it can be exciting to open up. Perhaps an AI-driven questionnaire would help them get an early insight into their needs without them having to talk to anyone directly.”
A thoughtful choice for coaching
When choosing a coach, she didn't rush into it. : “I looked at how coaches describe themselves, what their expertise is and read reviews from others. I also listened to my intuition. I had intake interviews with several coaches before making my choice.”
She also thought carefully about the number of sessions. “From experience, I knew you need time to really delve into the details. Coaching takes place in phases, and three sessions would have been too short for me. That's why I immediately opted for six sessions.”
The coach's physical presence made the process even more valuable. “The sessions took place on location, which I really enjoyed. The coach thought along with me and shared my enthusiasm. That gave me energy.”
Insights for the future
The coaching process not only gave her answers, but also new questions about her future: “I have discovered that I want to further develop within organizations that focus on health, vitality and well-being. In addition, I want to use my existing experience, but I still doubt whether I want to specialize further or, on the contrary, continue to orientate myself more broadly.”
What could be better?
Although she is very satisfied with Empowr, she still sees room for improvement: “More personalization in communication would help, for example by better tailoring newsletters to personal interests. The customer journey could also be even easier and more intuitive.”
A valuable platform for everyone
Her final conclusion about Empowr is clear: “I would absolutely recommend it. It is an accessible platform with many opportunities for personal development. The freedom to choose and the wide range of products make it valuable for everyone.”
